Judge: Ken Weiderman

Ken Weiderman is an art educator, musician and writer from Eureka California. He is currently teaching 6th, 7th and 8th grade art at Zane Middle School. Prior to that, he was a Lecturer in Art and Education at Humboldt State University for 5 years. For more than 20 years, Ken has been an active participant in the Humboldt County art scene. He is a former member of the Empire Squared art collective, a group who challenged the Humboldt Art community on a monthly basis to expand their ideas around the possibilities of art. Ken also wrote extensively about local art, artists, and shows during his two years as the North Coast Journal’s Art Beat reporter. His ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media work has been shown in solo and group shows at nearly every major gallery in Eureka.
