Judge: Lupe Galvan
Lupe Galvan joins College of The Redwoods from Boise Idaho, he Teaches Painting, Drawing, Design and Art Appreciation courses. He obtained his MFA from The New York Academy of Art, specializing in painting and drawing the human figure. Along with figure drawing, Lupe has an affinity toward Plein Air painting. Lupe served as vice president of Boise’s Tropico FM (non-profit) which aimed to foster underrepresented BIPOC artists in the community and give them a platform/spotlight to be seen and heard. He loves to share his knowledge with students in and out of the classroom. In 2023 he appeared in an Idaho Public Television series (CreatID) where his work titled "Ancestors" was featured and aspects of his process were discussed. In his spare time, he loves to fly fish for trout and steelhead. Â
