Class Description:

In this workshop I will do a demo the first morning to show and talk about my process of setting up a still life, the lighting, composition and my thinking process before I put brush to canvas. I will then take you through the stages of drawing and blocking in the painting. I will set up at least 3 different still life areas so everyone can have room and choices to paint. Each still life will consist of objects such as vases, cloth, cut flowers and possibly some fruit. After lunch the first day, everyone will then start work on their individual paintings. We can work one sitting or decide to develop your still life over the course of the three days.

I will work with all of you as a group as well as one on one to help each of you with any problems you may be having with your still life and help you through the process. Looking forward to working with all of you.
